Dans la forêt

Welcome

If you listen to your body when it whispers, you won't have to hear it scream.  Tibetan wisdom

Our intestinal microbiota, formerly called intestinal flora, is made up of 100,000 billion bacteria, but also viruses, parasites and even fungi.

Think of your gut microbiota as a forest, the denser and more diverse it is, the harder it is to penetrate. It then perfectly fulfills its role as a natural barrier, it retains water, prevents landslides and allows many organisms to proliferate, such as mushrooms for example.  On the other hand, it would be easy to clear a path if the forest were sparse and not very diversified, there would be fewer shaded areas and the earth would become less rich in micro-organisms, not to mention that the forest could no longer play its role of dam, protect the soil, prevent the risk of erosion  and desertification. Look at the devastating effects of deforestation and you will understand what will happen to your health if you do not protect your gut microbiota!

Our microbiota represents about 70% of our immunity, hence the importance of treating it to ensure the best possible defense of the body. It provides a protective barrier that prevents pathogens and unwanted substances from entering the body.

Our microbiota acts on our digestive and immune system, but it is also in connection with our brain (intestinal axis - brain) and would thus influence our psyche. It is often extended that the gut microbiota should be considered as the human second brain, that is to say its importance!

Thus, in people affected by psychic disorders, such as depression, autism or even schizophrenia, there is systematically an intestinal dysbiosis. By treating the microbiota, we can reduce neuro-inflammation and therefore reduce, or even stop, certain symptoms experienced by these patients.

Intestinal dysbiosis is also found in almost all patients suffering from an autoimmune disease: inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), multiple sclerosis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and many others.

We also know that a good intestinal microbiota has proven beneficial effects on the effectiveness of certain chemotherapies.

In addition, the scientists demonstrated that a lean mouse transplanted with the microbiota of an obese mouse became obese and vice versa. Faecal transplantation (FMT) today represents a hope for many patients, but it is unfortunately not yet authorized in Switzerland, except for the treatment of Clostridium difficile infection. In the meantime, we must treat our microbiota differently or look for solutions abroad where it is already possible to benefit from this treatment.

We are only at the beginning of exciting discoveries concerning all the existing links between diseases and the intestinal microbiota. However, at this stage one thing is certain: Treat our microbiota can only bring you benefits and help you maintain a strong immune system and good digestion, so why deprive yourself of it?  While it is difficult, if not impossible, to cure certain illnesses, we can still try to prevent them and improve the lives of sick people through a complete review of their lifestyle, their diet and above all by taking the most great care of their precious microbiota.

The microbiota is formed from birth and is determined very young around 5-6 years old, hence the importance of already working on the microbiota of mothers (who will transmit their microbiota to their children), fathers and ultimately all no matter their age, because it's never too late to improve their microbiota and repair the damage if, like me, you haven't had the chance to inherit a good microbiota or if life has made your microbiota no longer functional as a result of excessive use of antibiotics in your childhood or poor diet and lifestyle during your life.

Let's work together to balance your microbiota to give you every chance to live and age as well as possible.

With my 30 years of experience in the digestive system, I am here to guide you and teach you how to take care of your microbiota, to cultivate it to make it as rich and diversified as possible. Health is within everyone's reach and disease prevention remains the key. Why wait until you are sick to act? Act now and take charge of your health!
